Insurance Information, Policies and Procedures:

Maryland is one of the few States in the country that included Acupuncture as an “essential health benefit” under the Affordable Care Act. As a result, most insurance plans offer coverage for Acupuncture treatment.

If you plan on using your healthcare benefits to cover your Acupuncture treatments,
we must qualify your insurance prior to your visit. If we have not previously inquired about insurance, we will ask you to pay in full at the time of the visit, until approval from your insurance company has been obtained. Unfortunately, verifying insurance coverage takes time, and we are not able to verify your status at the time of your appointment.

In order to verify your insurance coverage, we will need to obtain some information from you, including your full name, insurance carrier, insurance / policy number as well as your date of birth. We also ask that you provide us with your best contact number, should the insurance carrier require any additional information.
